Description

A Longnose Gar (white) and Alligator Gar (foreground) at the Caldwell Zoo, which has a really nice Texas freshwater fish display. These fish are enormous. The biggest Alligator Gar in the tank is over 5 feet long; adult Alligator Gars are known to reach up to 10 feet long, and weigh over 200 pounds (about 90 kg).
