Kiya's Transformation Ink Sketch

An ink sketch from the Windsonde/Kiya comic I'm (slowly) working on; the script calls for 52 pages. It will be a nice learning experience, requiring me to work on three areas I need practice: drawing humans, inking without overdoing the detail (my usual ink style [link] might look nice for illustrations, but is too much for a comic book), and digitally coloring my inked work.

This frame depicts Kiya transforming from gryphon to human for the first time. I imagine it happening somewhat like the transformation sequences in Howl's Moving Castle, where feathers are depicted blowing off the bird body until there's a human underneath.
